WHAT PRODUCT WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE THIS YEAR?
In addition to the Tuna and Colin plush, we are overjoyed to announce that we have decided to create an epic 2025 Tuna Calendar! The theme is Retirement Edition and all of the images have been generated using AI technology and Photoshop. All product will be available for pre-sale beginning on Nov 27th-Dec 4th. Pre-sale orders will not start shipping until Dec 6th.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE AI TECHNOLOGY AND PHOTOSHOP TO CREATE THE CALENDAR?
Great question and there are several answers. The first and foremost being that Tuna is over 14 years old and we didn’t want to put him through an extensive photoshoot at his age. That’s one of the reasons we didn’t produce a calendar last year, however, this is the theme we considered shooting- Tuna in retirement, since he is of retirement age in dog years. We definitely wanted to create a calendar this year because we received lots of requests to, but we had to consider Tuna’s welfare and comfort above all. Instead of compiling recycled images from the past, we wanted to do something fun and creative. Using AI generated images in Tuna’s distinct likeness was a great way to accomplish the retirement theme. Ian works in the technology industry and is well-versed in AI. He spent a long time fine-tuning an image generation model and then wrote prompts to create the images. Since AI is still a work in progress, Ian needed to use Photoshop to refine and perfect the images. In addition to all of this, we moved earlier this summer and didn’t have a lot of time to think about a calendar while we were in transition but we are so excited about this one. We hope that you are too!

WHEN CAN I EXPECT MY CALENDAR AND PLUSH ORDER TO BE FULFILLED AND SHIPPED?
We are flying back to the U.S. to fulfill the orders but we will not be there until the 6th so will not be fulfilling any product orders until that day (in order of receipt and international orders) and all product will be shipped out by the 10th. You will receive an email with a tracking number once your order has been fulfilled. The postal carrier may take up to 1-2 additional business days to generate the tracking number, so please check back in with your tracking number within that time frame.

HOW LONG WILL I BE ABLE TO PURCHASE THE CALENDAR AND PLUSH?
All product, including both plush and calendar, will not be available to purchase after Dec 8th at 11.59 PM PST. Ian and I are flying back to the U.S. to fulfill the orders by the 6th and we are leaving on the 10th of Dec, so after that date, we will no longer be offering any of the product for purchase so please get yours while you can, especially in time for a holiday gift.

ARE THE PLUSH HANDMADE?
Yes! Each plush is responsibly manufactured at an ICTI Ethical Toy Program-certified factory in China. Since each Tuna and Colin are made by hand, there could be slight variations or irregularities to them. No two plush are exactly the same.

MY PLUSH ARRIVED LOOKING WONKY. WHAT DO I DO NOW?

In transit, Tuna and/or Colin’s shape or features could have been compromised. The good news is, the plushes are moldable and Tuna’s legs are bendable, so the plushes can be reformed back to their original states. We suggest stroking Tuna’s fur so that the velvet nap is going in the same direction, pulling down his teeth to straighten them, pulling up his eyelids to make Tuna look more spritely, and squishing his snout and head to distribute the cotton stuffing better. We suggest doing the same with Colin’s head and body. If Colin’s arms are out of his sweatshirt upon arrival, they can be tucked back in, and if his hoodie is down, it can be pulled back up. IS THE TUNA OR COLIN PLUSH MADE FOR DOGS?
Neither the Tuna nor Colin plush are technically a dog toy. They are not recommended for children under 3 or for dogs unless your dogs aren’t prone to destroying their toys. You’ve seen what Tuna can do to Colin- we can’t imagine what a larger dog could do.

DO YOU DONATE TO ANIMAL RESCUE GROUPS?
ABSOLUTELY YES! As always, a portion of proceeds from all product sales goes towards Rescue Groups and Shelters, or Animal Organizations (RGSAO to make it easier ;) We take that sum and divvy it up at the end of the year, giving money to multiple RGSAO’s. There are so many in need, so we don’t just support one, we support multiple! We ask Tuna’s followers to give us suggestions on who to support since you are the ones making the purchases. I do vet the RGSAO’s before I give to them to make sure they are No-Kill shelters.

CAN I BUY ANY OF THE OTHER MONSTER FACTORY MONSTERS FROM COLIN’S ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER?
Unfortunately no :( Monster Factory is no longer producing any of the plushes from their collection. We were given special permission to license, produce, and sell Colins, only, and they are sold exclusively for Tuna Melts My Heart, via TUNA’S SHOP. The design is slightly modified from the original, and the cost has increased due to a different manufacturer and an increase in material and shipping costs.

WHY ARE INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING COSTS SO EXPENSIVE AND WHY ARE ALL PRODUCTS LIMITED TO CERTAIN INTERNATIONAL COUNTRIES?
Shipping rates have increased both internationally and domestically, but unfortunately, it is very expensive to ship out of the United States in general. Those prices are set by the postal service. We have limited where to ship internationally based on shipping rates, as well as having issues in the past with packages getting lost when shipped to certain countries.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT IN TERMS OF PACKAGING?
The plush and calendar will arrive in a plastic bubble mailer via USPS. This is so they arrive to you during the winter months in a weather-resistant envelope. In addition, envelopes will be much more efficient for the distribution process because they are less bulky for USPS pick-ups or drop-offs, and require no assembly on our end. 
 
CAN I STILL BUY THE BOOK OR THE OTHER MERCHANDISE THAT YOU SOLD PREVIOUSLY?
We have sold out of the Tuna books unfortunately.

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN OR REFUND POLICY?
Unfortunately, the plush and calendars cannot be returned for a refund, but if you are truly unsatisfied with either product, please contact info@tunameltsmyheart.com, and we will work it out. We of course want you to be BEYOND thrilled and satisfied with your Tuna product, so if you aren’t, please let us know!
