THE CARY ARMS IN SOUTH DEVON (ENGLAND)

This past weekend, my fiancé and I wanted to take a trip out of London to celebrate our recent engagement, as well as my birthday, but we were overwhelmed with options on where to visit in England. I’ve been told many times that the English seaside is stunning so I wanted to “sea” it for myself.

I emailed our friends at PetsPyjamas for some suggestions because we would of course be bringing Tuna with us, and PetsPyjamas has never let us down in the past. They immediately recommended that we stay at The Cary Arms, located on Babbacombe Bay on the south Devon coast. Based on the criteria that I gave them, they curated one of the best holidays that we have been on to date!

I almost don’t have words to describe how lovely our stay at The Cary Arms was. From the moment we arrived, it was love at first sight! The charming Inn was tucked away on a cliff over-looking the beautiful English channel, and upon arrival we were led to one of a few newly built, pet-friendly, Beach Huts that overlooked the sea as well.

The view was breath-taking, as was the interior of the 2-story Beach Hut. The design was contemporary but still felt very traditionally "beachy" and was overall disarming and stunning. It was incredibly cosy and we felt right at home!

Our Beach Hut had a similar layout but the colour palette was ocean blue! The Beach Huts are two-stories high and you can view the sea from your bed through a porthole. Magical! Photo credit: Cary Arms site

The massive wall-to-wall, full bi-fold doors opened up to our large private sun-deck, so it always felt like we were outside. When it got chilly in the evening we turned up the temperature in the heated floors as well as the modern hologram fireplace, but just for a cute effect. There was a complimentary mini bar which included snacks, drinks and some amazing slo gin.

Tuna, most importantly, was greeted with a snuggly bed, a ball thrower and a custom pet box from PetsPyjamas, filled with yummy treats and amazing new toys, a delightful gift that PPJ gives to each furry guest when you book through them.

The Cary Arms provided Tuna with a comfy pet bed, a ball thrower, and a bowl filled with yummy biscuits :)

PetsPyjamas provides every furry friend with a custom pet travel box filled with treats, toys and a portable water bowl every time you book through them. It's there for your pup upon arrival and it's personalised with a handsome photo of him or her.

The Inn was equipped with a delicious seaside, pet-friendly restaurant with views that are breathtakingly beautiful! They even have a private pod overlooking the sea, where we dined in to celebrate my birthday, and watched the sunset. It was magical, especially in the light rain! Later that evening, we met up in the residents club room and had a doggy play-date with our Beach Hut neighbour’s dogs.

We met these two gorgeous friends in the residents club later that evening but they also were our neighbours. The pup's parents (the on the left of Tuna) also booked their holiday through PetsPyjamas!

In our other free moments, we swam in the sea, took long beautiful walks to appreciate our stunning surroundings and we even spotted two adorable seals in the bay who are apparently mainstay attractions. We also went Kayaking in the bay thanks to our new friend Wayne of the Cafe at Babbacombe Bay and I got an AMAZING massage! Ps: They are building an incredible new SPA. Currently under construction but when it's finished it will have a pool!

Tuna went Kayaking for the first time and he loved it! Here he is keeping an eye on his dad to make sure he doesn't tip over :)

Overall, we had THE BEST time at The Cary Arms thanks to our friend’s at PetsPyjamas. All of the staff was incredibly friendly and hospitable. We will definitely be back for another visit, and I highly recommend this memorable place to any body who wants a truly pet-friendly getaway in the English seaside all year long! Ps: Christmas and NYE there looks magical! We saw a brochure for it.

Thank you again @CaryArms and @ThePetsPyjamas! Can't wait for another visit! Xx

LOEWS REGENCY NEW YORK HOTEL

This past Spring, we were invited to stay at the fabulously chic, and exceptionally pet-friendly
Loews Regency New York Hotel in NYC for a few days. We were supposed to arrive in the city again today but I ended up extending our trip in the UK for another week, but had we traveled to NY, we would have loved to stay here again!

This tiny guy insisted that I take a photo in front on their giant welcome mat upon arrival.

Tuna and I were in town for a BarkFest event, but our room was so cosy that we ended up staying in most of our visit, and by in, I mean that Tuna mainly stayed in our super comfortable bed.

He couldn't get enough of our ultra comfortable king size bed, as well as the comfy duvet, clearly :)

The overall aesthetic was absolutely stunning! The interior design was textured in velvets, leathers, marble, metals and florals with a mixture of pale pinks, deep purples, and shades of grey, both in the lobby and in our room.

The hotel was located in the residential neighborhood of the Upper East Side off of Park Ave, and very near a convenient subway station. It was also positioned just a few short blocks from everybody's favorite park, Central Park!

Tuna climbed to the top of the rock while in NY, but not to the top of Rockefeller Center. Just to the top of a giant rock in Central Park :)

Overall we had the loveliest stay at Loews Regency New York Hotel! Our suite was amazing, as was the hotel's location, and the staff is exceptionally hospitable. As a brand, Loews is super pet-friendly and they don't discriminate on the size of your dog. The Regency was no exception and didn't mind whatsoever that Tuna climbed all of their lovely furniture :) That's his kind of hotel.

This is our policy at home so he's appreciative of hotels that are excepting of this :)

Thank you again for having us @LoewsRegency! xx
